Beaches & Natural Attractions
Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth beaches are just a short drive from Moorland
House. These spectacular beaches are popular for surfing, kitesurfing
or just hanging out. Other renowned surf beaches Fistral and Constantine
are also nearby. The coastal rock formations of Bedruthan Steps or Carnewas
is a National Trust owned natural attraction between Newquay and Padstow.
Eden Project
This world famous environmental attraction is just half-an-hour away.
The Eden Project consists of two giant biomes with exotic plants from
around the world.
Padstow
The scenic fishing town of Padstow is just down the road. This is a popular
tourism hotspot and its streets are lined with shops, delis, galleries
and restaurants, including several owned by celebrity chef Rick Stein.
Tate St Ives
This art gallery is a little further away but worth a visit for its collection
of Cornish art and special exhibitions. St Ives itself is a picture perfect
seaside town with a fishing harbour and cobbled streets.
