Cornwall is an adventure sports playground with all sorts of activities and extreme sports to get the adrenaline going. Below are a few recommendations for the local area. Surfing - Surfing remains the biggest draw for many of our guests. Cornwall has some of the best surf beaches in the country, with plenty of surf schools willing to teach people's first steps on a surfboard. Moorland House is a surfer friendly B&B and great bed and breakfast accommodation for surfing in Cornwall. We're happy to recommend Surfing is Therapy for surf safaris and private surfing lessons in the local area. King Surf provide surf lessons at nearby Mawgan Porth.
Kitesurfing - Kitesurfing is gaining popularity in Cornwall and it all started at our local beach Watergate Bay. Moorland House is a great B&B for kitesurfers and makes perfect bed and breakfast accommodation for kitesurfing in Cornwall. Mobius and Atlantic Riders are both mobile kite surf schools who provide lessons on local beaches.
Coasteering - Coasteering is the cool, new sport in Cornwall and an exciting mix of sea swimming, rock climbing, scrambling, coastal exploration and cliff jumping. The Adventure Centre and Vertical Descents offer coasteering trips in the Newquay area.
Adventure - There are loads of other adventure sports available in Cornwall. The following multi-activity adventure centres are close to our bed and breakfast accommodation in St Mawgan. The Extreme Academy at Watergate Bay offers a vast range of adrenaline sports. The Adventure Centre at Lusty Glaze Beach provide water and cliff based activities. Encounter Cornwall offers canoeing on the river Fowey, plus mountain bike trails and hiking.
Walks - We have Ordnance Survey maps, which we can lend you and are always happy to recommend walks further afield. We are very spoilt here by having some of the most breath-taking coastal walks in the area.
Golf - There are plenty of quality golf courses in the area, including renowned scenic courses at Trevose, Treloy and Merlin.
Other Activities - Windsurfing, Sailing and Diving are mainly on the south coast.
Fishing - Boats take fishing trips from either Padstow or Newquay.
